Common questions
What's included in the monthly allocation?
The allocation covers any Shopify development work: custom features, theme updates, app integrations, bug fixes, performance improvements, and A/B test implementation. You direct how it's used each month; we advise on priorities.
What if we don't use the full allocation one month?
Unused hours roll over to the following month (up to a cap, depending on the retainer tier). We'd rather you build up credit for a bigger piece of work than feel pressured to find things to fill the allocation.
How quickly do you respond to requests?
Retainer clients get priority response times, typically within a few hours during working hours for questions, and same-day starts for development tasks depending on the queue.
Do we need to be on Shopify already?
Yes. Retainers are for established Shopify stores. If you're migrating from another platform or launching fresh on Shopify, we'd typically start with a project engagement and move to a retainer post-launch.
Can we change retainer tier?
Yes. If your needs grow or contract, we can adjust the retainer up or down at a quarter's notice. We'd rather you're on the right level than paying for more than you need.
What does CRO actually involve month to month?
We review your Google Analytics (or equivalent), session recordings, and funnel data each month. We identify the highest-impact opportunities, prioritise them, and either implement fixes directly or add them to the A/B testing queue. You get a written summary of what we found and what we're doing about it.
